In March, I took an amazing trip with my aunt and a friend to 7 Mile Beach in Negril, Jamaica. This was my 5th time going to Jamaica because I love it so much. I have such an amazing time every time I go back to the islands.
Considering myself a little bit of an expert, I'll be sharing all of my favorite local spots, eating locations, and more with you! First stop, a little place called, “The Beer Joint.” They don’t sell just beer though! They sell snacks, coconuts and other refreshments. The fresh coconuts are my favorite, and of course we had to get one! Seeing them cut and prepare them right in front of you is freaking awesome; you really get the whole experience there.

This little Jerk Chicken spot truly has amazing food! Jerk chicken isn't the only thing they're serving; they have great fish as well!
Another spot I enjoy is Kamara’s Restaurant, where they have delicious Curry Chicken, Curry Shrimp, and Garlic Shrimp. Everything is so fresh and well seasoned!
I believe breakfast might be my favorite Jamaican meal... I always look forward to it every morning when I’m there, it’s so delicious! My go to spot for breakfast is Coco La Palm, which is both a restaurant and hotel. Their breakfast is affordable and they give huge portions (What's not to love?). I actually split it with my aunt since it’s so filling. I recommend getting the Ackee and Salfish, Callaloo, Plantains and Johnny Cakes. That's what I always get when I'm there. It’s a must try if you ever visit Jamaica!
Coco La Palm also serves dinner! I have had their Escovitch fish, which is one of my favorite Jamaican dinner dishes. I could eat it every day!
I forgot to take a picture of my food because I ate it too quickly, it was that good. But Kuyaba is also one of my favorite restaurants. They have the best (super) spicy jumbo shrimp!
What I love the most about Jamaica is that there is food literally everywhere! While sitting on the beach, you can expect food vendors to come up to you with beef patties, fruit, and even freshly cooked lobster and crab! If you don’t feel like getting up, you can eat on your beach chair all day while you bask in the sun. What a life! ☺

Now let’s talk fun and adventure! I had so much fun in the water. Kayaking was amazing and so relaxing. There are people that sell kayaking experiences all throughout the beach! Thankfully though, my hotel had one so I didn’t have to pay for it, which was great.
My favorite adventure here was snorkeling! It was my first time ever and it was one of the most memorable experiences! We went on “Mike’s Glass Bottom Boat” and went to the coral reefs by the caves of Negril. A tour guide took us throughout the ocean and showed us all of the beautiful creatures of the sea. We saw a star fish and a huge beautiful violet manta ray! It was truly breath-taking (literally, lol).
After snorkeling, they took us on the boat to Rick’s Café. It is a super cool and fun restaurant/bar where you can go cliff jumping into the beautiful crystal clear blue ocean. I was too scared to take the big jump, but René was brave enough to. I jumped off a smaller one instead which was plenty of fun for me!
Traveling to and from the Montego Bay Airport, we used Kenny Tours. His prices are great and he’s super reliable and safe! I use his services every time I come to Jamaica.
Thank you CalPak for helping me have such an enjoyable travel experience! Your lightweight, sturdy and super cute luggage made it so easy to get around!
